So this morning my Dad told me that the 2 black angelfish i have (which i just put back into a 55 Gallon tank after separating them when i bought them) might be pairing up. normally this wouldnt be a problem, but in the past i've had trouble with the eggs laid from a pair being eaten. im actually not too worried about the angels eating the eggs this time, as much as i am for the 6 inch pleco i have in the tank... along with 4 small (a little over an inch) albino longfin bristlenose plecos. ( i know, a lot of plecos, lol) i know generally plecos eat the algae off the glass and what not but, im thinking that they might get too close to the eggs and eat them. possibility? and suggestions? (i do have a 10 gallon in which i can probably move the angels in)

why not move the bristlenose plecos into the 10g? or put a seperator in the tank

Its rare that angels will sucessfully raise fry in a tank.If the aim is to raise baby angels, use the 10g for the eggs and fry.Lots of info online about hatching angel eggs.
1" longfin bn plecos would be a nice snack for adult angels.Id worry about them.

I agree, having tried to move angels and eggs once they're laid is typically fatal to the eggs. I'd say it's better to temporarily move the pleco's to the 10g or go the divider route.

If they're anything like my pleco's they'll likely leave them alone, but every now and then you'll get one that has a particular taste for eggs! I would probably just leave everything as-is and just watch them, if they get too aggressive, then yank the pleco's out into the 10g at that time.

i've successfully bred angels before, but never with so many plecos, lol and that was the main thing i was thinkin of, if there is a chance of the plecos interfering.
