I have Been looking for some star sappire cichlids lately and I have just happen to come acrossed some yesterday and I also moved a few days before that sl now my ph is 7 and id like to make the sappires more comfortable with a ph of 8.2 and I was wondering how could I achieve that goal
Thanks
Andrew

Aragonite sand, crushed coral, holy rock, baking soda and then there are the expensive commercial buffers.

Yes, for the amount of water replaced. That is why I use the sand, holy rock and crushed coral in one way or another. All my tanks have the Aragonite sand and the tanks that don't have holy rock ,has crushed coral in mesh bags placed in the filters. I haven't measured the ph from the sink but my tanks are stable 8-8.2, stable is more important than the perfect ph.
