My LFS have a baby Dorado for 100 bux and i was wondering about getting it my question is what is an adequate tank size for it how to care for it and is that a reasonable price doing research and seeing if i should get it

I bought a 3 incher and put it solo in an 80. Within the first year, I had to move him to a 150 when he passed the 1ft mark. He slowed his growth a bit at the end of the 2nd year but, I had to put his 20 inches into a 300 to give him some decent turning room. I lost him when I moved and the airline routed a pallet of my fish boxes to Chicago while I went to Mississippi.

They grow up to be true monsters for sure. My son has a one growing in a 125gal. for now. Very cool fish, but personally, I don't wish to devote a 300gal. plus tank to a single fish. An adult will not tolerate another fish in the tank, and are very capable of killing anything you put in there with them.
