I have a Shovel Nose Tiger Catfish. when i bring Feeders he Eats so many i think he is going to Pop! i was wondering is that normal for them to eat so much it makes there Belly look abnormal? Will he be ok or is it something I am doing ? He feeds on Rosies and Goldfish. but i have noticed he has grown from about 4 and a half inches to about 6 or 7 inches. :screwy:

you should get him used to pellets..cut on the feeders, in a week he will be gulping pelletes...on the upside of this is your wallet!!

also, let him rest before another large feeding as in nature, there's no fixed meal time, so it's a feast one day, starving time another. He's just using his natural instincts which is to gorge until he feels like he's totally going to pop.

Let him rest a day or two or until his stomach's swelling goes down, and you can feed him again, and next time, try not to feed that much as overfeeding can kill your fish.

let him starve and switch to pellets...all TSN switch over easily!

i have been feeding them various things i give them feeders everry 3 or 4 days. but he does eat the pellets also. he is really growing fast so i don't know if its the feeders or the pellets doing that?
