I was just wondering if $60 was too much for a delhezi that's around 4 inches. It's a bit late now because I already bought it two months ago, but I was curious anyway. It's pretty much doubled in size by now.:WHOA: It's getting pretty fat...:D

I'll get some pictures later...

I paid a little over $50 for mine. But I didn't hesitate, b/c noone around here ever gets bichirs in, so I snagged it while I could. Plus the Delhezi's are one of my favorites.

It depends on where you are. I have yet to see anything other than a Sen. in a store and I've moved so we're talking about both sides of Northern FL. LOL
I did see a longfin Sen. that was $69. That same store charges $40. for 5" Sen's.
I guarantee that if they got something like a delhezi or an ornate it would be $$$$

little high i'd pay around $40 for one that size

It's not really fair to compare to what others pay.

Supply/demand/availability in your area will determine the price. In places like SoCal where LFS's are everywhere, and it's fairly easy to track down these fish, I wouldn't expect to pay more than half that price.

However, if this is the first time you see them over in Ohio, and the only place that has them, chances are they wont roll around again until fish keeping gets more popular in your area.

I'd swwwooop it up! :D

btw, if you're getting into polypterus, Infinite Aquatics (in our vendor forum) has long fin senegals at a great price! Add shipping, and you're looking at still cheaper than that delhezi.

I'd pick up at least one if I were you.
