I bought a batch of Rosey red minnows for my baby Florida gars to eat Wednesday. I do a thorough three week QT and immediately begin aquari-sol treatment for external parasites!
I do 100% water changes every day on my feeder bins!
The overnight death rate on this batch is SO far beyond anything I have ever experienced (close to 25%ish) before in QT of minnows that I am concerned that this is just a flat out BAD batch!
Is it worth "continuing" this three week QT of this batch of minnows, or should I just save time and effort by culling the other 75% still alive after 24 hours. Obviously if when I do tonight's WC I see a similar loss ratio than it is a no brainer and they get tossed, but if there is not considerable loss, should I still just cut my loss and cull?
