I've seen picks and read about them so I know it would be kinda hard to put a group of them in a tank with semi aggressive cichlids and bichirs. Would it be possible to house just one in my tank because I know they have to be in groups or kept as one so they don't kill the others if the group is too small.

What is in you tank? Cichlids and bichirs? In that, one exodon would probably just be a feeder

lol yea it would just be a $5 feeder.

I wanted to add a real predeatory fish that doesnt get big. like the BTT( bucktooth tetra), or a african butterfly fish or even a hujeta gar or silver pike.

try some banded leps for tankmates.... actually, the leps might eat your BTT's eyes out... that's what they do to a lot of fish...

not mine... mine tears everything apart, even the fin of my ID shark
