I am (will be) a first time peacock bass owner. i am going to pick up 2 small (3-4 inch) peacock bass from a LFS. I assume they are cichla cellars because of their cheap price ($20)
here are my questions,
1.)will they get around 14-16 inches
2.)are they a mean aggressive type of peacock bass?

Probably MonoXOcell hybrids at that price. Could get lucky though. Yes they will grow that big and quite fast. Cichla are aggressive naturally but it all really depends on the fish itself.

what is the max size? will they be ok in a 300 gallon with large tinfoil barbs, oscars, clown knife, ID shark ETC?

Not to be rude, but why do you still call it a 300g when we helped you figure out it was a standard 220g? Don't you think it would better suit you to list a proper tank size when asking if your tank will house them for life?

You could probably be ok for a long time but may eventually need to upgrade, same with your clown knife
