Ok so I have an 80g with pairs of red jewels, honduran red points, salvini and texas cichlids (besides the pairs I have a ton of other stuff). From what I can see the red jewels and the red points have laid eggs, they've hatched and now are sitting right in the gravel. What do I do from here? Can I clean my tank and do a water change without hurting these little guys? How do I feed them? What do I feed them? I also have a fish that has some sorta of ulcer growing out of his mouth, can I medicate the tank with the fry in the tank? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated, thanx dudes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ulcers could be a result of water quality. All of your fish may be small but it sounds like you are drastically overstocked for an 80gal. If you are not keeping up with the water changes your fish could suffer from the excessive waste in the water. I don't think it is safe to treat a tank with fry. Medicate the sick fish in a quarantine tank and place him back when he is fully healed. You'll need to change your stock eventually. All of those guys won't survive adulthood in an 80gal.

I breed Jewel Chiclids before and i changed the water every day and i feed them first bites it is like a powder food. I also kepted them i the same tank for a month . they r just laying because they prob can't swim yet it took mine 2 days to swim

all thr frys will be eaten. The right thing to do is take out all the other fishes except the breeding pair and their eggs and then do a water change for them. Good slow current through out the tank is good to prevent fungal infections on eggs or fish.

Post up pix of that sick fish in the disease section and get some advices. I think you should be looking for more tanks now instead of more fishes. Get ready for some frys. Damn already a breeder huh? good luck.
