im planning on getting some fesitvums but i was wondering if they would be ok with the clown loaches, frontosa, cory cat, yoyo loach. and razorback musk turtles. and how big do they get.
Festivums are great cichlids, but aren't really all that aggressive. So they might have a little trouble competing with those other fish when it comes to getting food.
They normally get around 8 to 10", but it takes them quite a while to get that large.
Definitely a cool fish. They often use their pelvic fins much like a gourami would.
They should be fine with that group, except for maybe the turtle...but if he's not bothering your cories and loaches you should be OK. They're more surface dwellers so if you feed floating they'll get their share of food. If you have the space I'd get at least 4-6, they can be a bit aggressive with their own kind and a group spreads that out.
