Questions about glass tops and replacement parts...

I ordered glass to be cut to fit the top of my new 150 gallon tank. The glass I ordered is 1/4" thick. Where can I find rubber hinges to connect the glass pieces? Is there any specific size I should use? Can I order the plastic handles that usually come with the glass tops too? Thanks

My lfs carries the hinges and plastic strips, don't know about handles but you could always superglue some knobs from home depot. Most online sites have the parts but I can't remember which ones and there are different thickness options, you may have to upsize and silicon them if to loose.

Not sure about getting it at 1/4 thick but most of the parts can be ordered from Amazon. I'm sure there is other places you can get it as well. I just ordered some replacement top glass back plastic trim pieces and there were handles and hinges in the links on the page I had open.

I know my local fish stores carry the balck hinge part. although from whta i remember it was cheaper just to buy a new glass top from big chain stores. at least for my tank it was.

I would have bought the whole glass top online but they don't come in the size I need. I had to have the glass cut by a glass shop. It was actually cheaper for them to cut it that I thought it would be lol
