I'm getting a 265 ready for some Ray's. And i have three Stealth heaters i know they will burn the rays? And i have no where to go with the heaters only filters are FX5's.. Any advice to get around this problem? thanks

get some pvc and drill alot of holes in it and stick the heater in that, just make sure the powerhead from the fx5 is close to them

stealths dont get as hot as glass or metal heaters... i kept rays in my tank for years with stealths with no guards and never had one burn.... i kept the heaters hanging vertical in the middle of the tank.... if your 265 is reef ready stick them on the side of a overflow.... heater placement is key to keeping your rays from getting burned...

It's just a basic glass tank... I'm not much in to them drilled tanks.. JMO

i did the same on glass tanks... keep the heat up off the bottom and vertical...

Ive got a 400 gallon pond and i used a 300 watt heater in it. I used pvc pipe and used a miter saw to cut slits in it and drilled holes in it. Then i zip tied it to the side of a stand i have in there to keep my pump up off the ground. Works reallly well good luck.
