What kind of growth should I be seeing with my jags per month under Good conditions? How much does allowing them to spawn slow their growth rate? When I first got them at around 3" they were growing at about an inch a month but once they started to spawn this has slowed to less than 1/2" a month. Water parameters have been good (they've spawned 3 times since the beginning of February) I know the females growth can be slowed or even stunted from producing eggs but shouldn't the male continue to grow at the same rate as before or close to it?
