Do Jack Dempseys only lock lips between males and females to test each other for spawning or do all Jacks lock lips regardless of age? I put two normal jacks in with my two Ebjd and the female immediately dove in and locked lips with the larger male Ebjd. After a few minutes she got beat back and she tried the second male ebjd. My normal male just hung back and watched. The ebjd did chase him around a bit before I had to split them up again. Any insight on this? Sorry for the runs ons, I am posting this from my phone.
