I'm expecting a wc poly next week and I was looking for some tips. The store I'm buying it from has been monitoring it for a couple weeks but I forgot to ask if they have treated it with anything, I'm calling this evening to pay for my order so I'll ask then. I'm planning on doing a salt bath and quarantining it for the full course (5-7 days) of a Prazi-pro dose. I've only got a 10g for a q-tank and it's 7-8 inches so I think much longer in that size of tank would be stressful. Should I keep the tank dark (it's in my kitchen so it won't be pitch black during the day) to reduce stress? Is there any other prophylactic treatment I should do? How exactly do I do a salt bath? The sticky says common salt is better than aquarium or marine salt but it didn't say if iodinized is ok or not. Other sites say you should leave them in it until they "roll over" which seems really stupid. I think I'm paranoid because I know it's wc lol. Any and all advice is appreciated! Edit: Just asked and they did a salt dip as well as two full doses of prazi-pro if that changes anything. I'm still planning on doing a salt dip but might hold off on the prazi-pro.

Go for UNiodized, I use kosher salt for that kind of thing, all polys appreciate a bit of salt in the tank. Not a lot obviously but mine were much more active after I started adding a teaspoon per ten gallons ( I add it to the WC waterb).

I would hold off on the prazi too I bet any problems were taken care of by the 2 doses. I would still do the salt but I wouldn't put him through another round of meds
