Hey! I'm growing out Geophagus Altifrons and currently I'm using National Geographic sand shown in photo. BUT I would like to try and grow some more real plants and was considering a substrate such as Seachem Flourite and wondering how a sand based substrate would be with these earth eaters. I'm just wondering if I should have any concerns with them eating or sifting a sand made for plants.
I intend to tie down plants so not worried about them digging up roots as I would likely put small rocks around base of newly plants.
