1st Will pothos survive totally submerged or do I have to keep it above the waterline?

2nd Can or will it hurt any of my livestock listed below?

I know I can use a HOB but would rather to keep it fully submerged if at all possible.

Tank Setup - 135gal, fx5, mag350, korilla 4, 3 silver dollars, 3 Red blood parrots, 12" Green severum, 10 coreys (3 emerald & 7 swarts), 2 black spotted eels, 22" fire eel, 24" clown knife, sun catfish, and leopard plaeco

I just set up a bunch in my sump 2 days ago. I think you just want the roots in the water. I've noticed a few of my plants that dipped into the water seem to be softening, which I assume means they're on their way to death.

So I guess I've sort of got the same question, only I've only got a few leaves and stems under my waterline rather than a whole plant.

I Would love to have a sump.

It won't do well fully submerged, it will die. As for hurting the fish I'm not sure on that one, some websites do say that it is toxic if eaten, but I have never tested that

As I told you in my thread, it will die and rot if fully submerged. There is a reason why terrestrial plants are not found in aquatic environments and aquatic plants are not found in terrestrial environments...

I did read and understand your post however I have also been told it could live fully submerged. I was trying to get clarification. Unfortunately at this time I am also unable to put it into a HOB because of lack of space between the wall and tank. Since it isn't able to be submerged or planted in a HOB does anyone have any other suggestions about where to place it in the tank.

Just find a way to attach it to the top of the tank; it shouldn't be too difficult. If all else fails, use duct tape. lol
