Questions about red devil fry

hey there, my red devil pair just had more fry and i have them in a 300 gallon pond type thing that i have built. how long can the 500 or so fry last in the big tank with the parents (only fish in tank) before they will start to eat them? they have been in there about a week now

they wont eat them until they wanna spawn again maybe a month or so

I was able to keep fry with the parent RDs for two months, I evenyually moved them because the fry started to nibble at the parents fins.

I have seen them raise 2 differant spawns so in a tank that big your good for a while

ok cool preciate it...if they start to eat them will they just dissappear in the matter of hours or will i notice them slowly getting picked off and have time to take them out?
