Questions about salvini color

I have 3 salvini cichlids in a 55 gal the biggest one is about 3 inches the other are smaller but they all had all of their color when i got them originally but now they are all a silvery color no yellow no red hardly any blue so can any one tell me what to do to get the color back???? please thanx!!!!!!!!!!!!

They may all be males. I have a male and a female, the female definately has the most intense color. The male looked nice when it was younger, but its a muddy drab color now.

well my male is approaching 5" and has a paler green fade these days under the black. the red comes and goes more than anything. the blue is a constant.

but next to no yellow.

Maybe they're not happy. Good food, clean, warm water? How about dominance issues?
