Could a Leiarius pictus, Brachyplatystoma juruense, and a Sorubim lima live fine together? I plan to get them small and start them off in a 75g. (I realize that these fish all get about 2' long and would need to be moved into a larger aquarium when needed and quite possibly an indoor pond.) Also the tank would be well filtered and would undergo frequent water changes.

I have researched these fish and from what i've learned, since they would be basically the same size and i would keep them well fed, that they could be compatible?

But I figured I would post to gather info/opinions.

(Also sorry if this is in the wrong section!)

If you are going to spend the money for Brachyplatystoma juruense, don't risk it by putting it with Leiarius pictus...lima should be okay

and if this is your first time keeping fish, I would skip B. juruense until you have more experience.

So Leiarius pictus, and Sorubim lima would be fine together? Is there another catfish that could live with them? I kinda like the number 3.

Also this is not my first time keeping fish.

After reading a little more i've got my stock list down to just a Lima shovelnose. Planetcatfish says other catfish roughly the same size can be good tank mates for them. I guess this really just depends on the other catfish. Any ideas? What about a Porthole shovelnose? They seem like they could go good together.
