Questions about tanks.

What is the thickness of the glass between a terrium and an aquarrium. and can a terrium hold water?

theres a reason people dont use terriums to keep fish in... im not real sure about the details but i know that there has got to be a really good reason for this..

my guess is it has something to do with the adhesive used to hold the tanks together.. and terriums not being able to handle it.. water is like 8 pounds a gallon or so..
 
Aquariums are WAY thicker. Where a aquarium would be 1/4" thick, a terrarium would be 1/8" thick
 
Also, terrariums (like critter cages) don't have as much bracing. They have the same aquarium safe silicone, but the weight could cause the sides to bust out. I just recently found this out as my friend donated me an "aquarium" that turned out to be a critter cage... I was disappointed...
