I purchased a colony of 11 (1.5"-2") Tropheus Duboisi nearly 1 month ago and they are currently in a 72gal bowfront. I am switching them to a 125gallon in 1 week and was wondering if I can add 6 more duboisis to this 125 without disturbing the so called pecking order of my tropheus duboisi colony. I was hoping that I could since they are still juveniles right now and aren't adults with established roles/territories/whatever. Anyone know how big these cichlids need to be mature enough to start breeding?

if switching to a 6FT 125G Id say you are better off adding atleast 20+ more. They need to be crowded to dilute aggression. I think they need to be 3+ inches to breed but thats always a case by case issue.

Yep. pack as many as you can in there. They are very aggressive towards each other. They will pick each other off in smaller groups

I had good luck with mine breeding with another type of fish in there. Once I put my julies in there, they bred.
