Hey guys n' gals of MFK, I was planning on stocking my 75 with a solitare Oscar. My LFS has a healthy and beautiful albino that is a 7" sub adult. With this in mind I wnt pokeing around the rest of the store and was contemplateing either a Green Phantom Pleco to go with him or posiably this cool looking 5" Uaru. My question is how compatable would the Uaru and Oscar be in a 75? I will be moveing them to a larger tank in the near future but would the 2 species be compatable? also how big will an Uaru end up getting?

i would advise against it. uaru are very peaceful and prefer to be in groups. i was holding 5 for about a week or two for a friend and they like to school. all 5 would swim together all the time.

In addition to being a shoaling fish, Uaru also grow quite large. They can easily get in the 8 - 10" range, many grow larger. Oscars will do the same. You'll need a large tank to keep multiple Uaru.
