Hey all, my first post, actually have a cousin that browses these forums, and his hobby has turned me on to fish keeping. I actually just recently picked up a 30 gal tank, and have a few questions that I'd like answered -- I've looked online and found conflicting information, and figured it was best asking people with experience.
At the store I went to, they sold me two albino rainbow sharks... I asked if they were docile and they said yes, but it seems that info i've found online says they get to be aggressive, especially towards each other... I've had them in the tank about a day and I haven't noticed any tendencies like this, is it likely to develop in the future? I wouldn't want anything to happen to either, and would prefer to return / or give it away if it will develop into an issue.
Also, compatibility check on two dwarf fire gouramis, the two albino rainbow sharks, and an african lace-catfish?
They seem to be getting along fine, but should I be worried or be checking their behavior?
Last question... I have a male betta who currently resides in a large 4-5 gal fish bowl, but after having researched them, found out they do better in temp regulated water with a heater... would he cause too many issues in general? I know I have to be careful regardless, but I'd hate to introduce him and have him freak out / get picked on, or vice versa. I have a whisper 30 filter in the tank, i'm not sure if that will make a difference either. I also have about 6 live plants in the tank, not sure of their names, but they're not fully grown yet, and I'm in the process of rinsing out a piece of columbian driftwood to place inside.
