hey guys i just bought a plant for my aquarium its the first one i have bought. I noticed that roots are growing out of the pot that it came in. Should i move it to a bigger pot? or should i plant it into my gravel? If i move it to a bigger pot what do i use a a substrate and what do i used for a pot? Any help you have would be appreciated.

well depends on ur preference of looks,
do u have enough gravel to cover the pot??
u could put it in the pot and add some flurite in the pot,
or just plant it in the tank,
what kind of plant, size tank and lights do u have??

I have a hygro in a 5.5 gal with an incadesent 25 watt. what does the flurite do? what do you think its planted in now? it looks like light brown fuzzy stuff? could i get more of whatever that is if it is good?

that light fuzzy brown stuff is like a cigerette butt, u dont need it,
i like to keep my plants in it when attaching them to wood like holes in the wood then u just stick that stuff in there and when the plant attaches u can pik that crap off,
but hygro is a really fast and easy growing plant, u can just stick it in the gravel itll be fine,
and flurite is a substrate that has certain nutrients in it to benefit plant growth,
but with that hygro u can even trim the tops and plant them theyll grow like that,
trim them when there getting real tall and just plant the trimmings
