Just a question. I was given a ray about a month ago it is a reticulata I have never kept rays so reading this now shows how I introduced my ray to its new home all wrong. when I got him he barely ate for the first couple days. now he really asserts himself and takes on anything in the tank when it comes to food. I have heard now also that Plecos are hard on them is this true? I have a 12"common Pleco in the tank as well as 2 6"+ Jd's and 3 blood red parrots. also a pair of Emperor Sharks. once I read on here what you should have I wonder he is presently in a 50G tank but I am setting up a 100G as we speak. its kinda an odd tank it is only 40" long by 20" deep it says to have them in a larger tank but my 50 has more ground area than the 100 is it better to leave him in the 50 for now or is the higher volume of water better than the larger surface area? I am planning on building a 500G tank before Sept but wondering whats best in the meantime any help is appreciated
