So I just got a 450 gallon. I wanted to throw my favorite cichlids in one tank. Its going to be an all female tank. Heres what I had in mind. 1 festae, 1 cuban, 1 black nasty, 1 Bennie cichlid, 1 Florida gar, 1 buttikoferi, and finaly 1 P. Bleekeri. I know its a wild thought but I wanted to know what everyone thinks.

The beanie won't work in the long run. The cuban and black nasty do much better in temps above ~84f, whereas the beani does much better in temps below 74f.

I believe black nasties don't do well with other cichlids in the tank (stresses them out and can cause bloat), and like Rocksor said, there's a pretty large temperature difference between what a beani would thrive in and the rest on that list.

You definitely have the size to have a better chance of getting away with more aggressive cichlids coexisting, just don't know about the beani and hait on that list.

Why all female tank? I found that all females are more aggressive than all males because females will lay eggs on their own, take up territory, and guard their nest and eggs. Also females, with a few exception, are less colorful than males.

So the black nasty and the cuban wont work and the reason for me picking all females is cuz they get smaller than males and I figured they would be fine in that size of a tank with territory. What would u guys put in a 450gallon???

Put what you like, but keep in the mind the water requirements (like not keeping the beani with the haitian); and always have a plan for when a fish or two don't work out.
