I want to start building a new tank next month. I am looking at building a plywood/acrylic tank that is 96"x24"x30" (8'Lx2'Wx30"H). I was going to build it 36" high, but I noticed it would require 1" thick acrylic (according to Garf.org, and a few other sources). I looked up the information on building this tank on garf, and this is what it came up with.
Tank Information:
I also intend to use pond liners to line the inside of the tank vs. epoxy or fiberglass. Does anyone have any input on this? I saw a guy on this website who did that.
Tank Information:
Material = Acrylic
Tank Height = 30"
Tank Width = 24"
Tank Length = 96 "
Acrylic Thickness = 1/2"
Approximate Gallons = 299
Does this information seem correct? I am building this tank because my current tanks are overstocked, and my fish are only getting bigger. If anyone has some advice for me, it would be greatly appreciated. Tank Height = 30"
Tank Width = 24"
Tank Length = 96 "
Acrylic Thickness = 1/2"
Approximate Gallons = 299
