Medway Me.
I just read the stickey for the diy wet/dry, and I know im a moron but I've never seen this before, and I still dont get how it works. I want to make one from my old 55 gal. into one but I have a few questions.

-How does the water get from the fish tank to the filter tank, dont I need two of those water pumps... one going each way?

-What kind of pump is the one in the pictures anyway, what would one of those cost?

-What is the gph on this kind of setup?

-How much are those Bio-sponges?

-Where is the machanical/chemical filtration of that kind of setup?

I'm sorry for asking such stupid questions, but I want to know how it works!

The water drains from the main tank to the sump.

The pumps are Quiet One 3000 @ 780 gph.

Prices may vary.

The mechanical will come from filter socks,& the section to the left of the pump area is for exta mech. & chem. if ever needed.

I made it to fit 2 aqua clear 110 sponges.

hope this helps.

ya thank you that helps a lot, If it's not too much trouble maby you could post a pic of the entire working setup, that would be interesting to see. Thank you so much, your sticky will be my guide in building mine!

Here is a pic of my first test setup, with diy overflow & diy wet/dry.
