ok so so far I have tried romaine lettuce which I am 99% sure my royal ate, tried peas last night, but I think the other fish ate them all. I am going to try zucchini, but how often should I feed and how should I prepare it (should I soak it first? Leave the skin on?) also what other foods can I try? Are there any commercially prepared foods? I am trying to find a piece of bogwood, but i'm not coming up with much will it be okay until I can find some?

I saw a recent thing on panaque (your royal) that said there diet was 33%wood, 33%vegetation and 33% poo/gravel lol. Your fish will need wood asap, even if its just a tiny piece to knaw on. You can feed it all sorts! Just stay away from protiens as it does there internals no good at all. I feed cucumber/zucchini twice a week and algae wafers the rest of the week. As a treat they may snatch a bite of some left over prawns/mussels but its rare.

They get brocholi(sp) stalks every so often and you can even feed Melon rind.

Leave the skin on, you will notice different fish eat different bits first. Just wash it and stick a fork in it to weigh it down.

Take pics!!!!!!

so would a piece of driftwood suffice for now until I can get my hands on some bogwood?
I'll try to get some pics but right now all I have is my phone lol

Ok thank's so much for your help! It LOVED the zuchinni I tried to get some pics but every time I went near it darted back in it's cave lol
