Hey guys I have been pondering a question as of late and am having trouble finding good conclusive articles to answer my it.

If you have a sick fish, do you consider it beneficial to feed more or less? I have read that it takes a lot of energy for cold blooded animals to digest, thus seeping crucial energy needed to fight the fishes ailment. So my position is that you may want to keep feeding to a minimum or none at all. Now i understand that if a fish has been badly underfeed that this could be an exception, but otherwise what do you guys think?

Well in my experience,if a fish is sick it will not eat very much.

If it was PREVIOUSLY well fed, then don't feed it while treatment.

For fish, metabolism rate is based on temperature (since all fish are cold blooded).
