My question is, have any of you ever done priority mail instead of overnight shipping with live fish? Has it been successful?

I know if its a more sensitive fish the overnight shipping is the best bet, but taking priority mail does it ever work out? What kind of loss/survival ratio did you get, if any?

I've used priority mail at the shippers insistance. He paid the freight, so it was more reasonable for him. It depends on the location of the shipper and the shippee. If the shipper does ALOT of shipping he should know the delivery time for different areas. If you live VERY close to the main post office for your county/area the success rate is usually good and arrives the next day in most cases. If he packs things realizing it may take two days and the fish aren't sensitive you should be fine. Just don't let the shipper ship out past Thursday unless you plan on waiting around on a Saturday for a possible delivery. I've heard of shippers shipping from Post Office to Post Office too and you go to the post office to pick it up. Hope this helps you.
