Hi everyone, I've been reading on these forums for a while now and have decided to start my own pond build.
Before I get started it may be worth mentioning that im located in Australia.
I would like to build an outdoor above ground pond with viewing windows. The pond needs to fit an exisiting space and as such it will be approx 10 feet long 2 to 3 feet front to back and 2 to 3 feet tall.
I have experience building and repairing glass fish tanks and have picked up plenty of glass over the years to use as windows. Im probably going to use two 2x3 foot windows.

I have experience with woodworking and construction and have renovated a few houses.
I have a few different ideas on constructing the frame. Options that are available to me include 2x4's and plywood, used railway sleeper frame (heavy duty and asthetically pleasing) lined with plywood or brickwork and cement.

products such as pond-tight are pretty expensive over here and as such i was hoping to use pond liner. I havent worked with it before so i have a few questions;
How does one bond glass to pond liner? does regular aquarium safe silicone work??
when using pond liner in a square pond I will need to fold the corners over and as a result will get excess pond liner bunched up in the corners. Is it possible to cut the pond liner into rectangular sheets and glue or bond the corners so I end up the a rectangular pond liner shape. What products can be used to bond pond liner?

And lastly, I can get my hands on 0.5 mm pond liner. Is this sufficient?

Any help will be greatley appreciated
Also as a side note, I have read the sticky regarding DIY pond construction but couldnt find much info regarding Pond liner.

Unable to send you a PM or email. Please contact me as I have a 15,000L wooden tank with pond liner which has a 5 foot high acrylic panel. I'm also planning a large tank build in next few months so we may be able to pool resources.
