A friend gave me a pike he needed to rehome a few months back so I took it in. Don't know the type...Its in my pond, and is now about 10" if not bigger.

Really liking the fish, So I figured I may get some others. I went to the wholesaler Today and he had about 4 species from what I can tell. I think im going to go back and get a couple of each...Ill post pics So I can get them Id'd.

Anyway, I was looking in Aqualog SA Cichlids I to see if I recoginze any...(sorry no Luck, all kinda look similar to me right now...noobie) and on pg 46 I ran into XINGU III. Black with red band Like a XINGU I. Anyone keep these? I Dont think I've seen them in the hobby...stunning fish though. Any info? Pics? Source?

Xiingu III are really great looking fish, in the pictures atleast. I have never seen one in real life, nor have I met anyone who has seen one in the last 5 yrs or so. I have a feeling they all go to asia when they are caught.

Thank you for the reply. Was wondering if they look as good in person as they do in pics. Ill be getting some different sp. of crenicichla this week...Ill post up.
