I have an Ornate Bichir... it is about seven inches long I'm curious if they breed in captivity and how old they are when they reach maturity. And, how do you sex them? I'm also interested in finding a Bowfish... if you know anyone that has them could you let me know.

if they breed in captivity? Yes
how old they are when they reach maturity? 6 years of age
sexual dimorphism should be clearly noticeable at 10- 12 inches
how do you sex them? the males anal fin is approx. twice as wide as the females.
