I just bought a tiger oscar and ya i'll get pics up...i have a 75 with a seagal birchir, 2 eletirc yellows, a peacock, and a red zebra, and 2 frontosa, its very peaceful in there right now...do you think it owuld be ok if i have him in there. The labs are like 2 inch if that, frontsta same, peacock and zebra 3-3.5. great water conditons, 82, think that owuld be fine...let me know what you think:headbang2

If its a growout and you have a home already available for it then i would this its ok cuz you tank is pretty packed as it is

i dont like the idea of mixing africans with ca/sa...just bugs me

how big is the O'? and where is he going once he gets bigger?

if the O is small the red zebra might kill him,at that size the mbuna will be alot more aggressive then an oscar, and i'd watch the fronts beceause the like prestine water conditions and thats very hard to maintain with an oscar and even harder with that many fish in a 75G

the water is there, the tiger oscar is going to go into my 125, he is like an inch...my zebra is not aggresive @ all any more my peacock put him into place after the zebra messed with him...for which is strange typically peacock are not very aggresive

You can try it since its temporary. But as a general rule, mixing CA and African is not a good idea. Mostly because of aggression.

Go ahead and put him in there temporarily, but i wouldnt leave him in there for long.

my friend has a 180 with fronts and many assorted africans with 3 oscars in there and he said its easy to maintain the water

well thats also a 180G,alot more water then a 75,but i guess it all depends on your feeding habbits and amount of water changes that your used to preforming

15 percent everyweek, middle of month 60 percent
