hey guys.. can i mix a quetzal with a frontrosa? how bout those two with a Jag, Red Devil, Oscars and Flower Horns. pleas let me know whatdya think. thanks. Oh and adatnoid maybe. haha

frontosas are really easy going. I wouldn't risk it

fronztas arn't aggressive at all i don't think it could even breed in a tank with a buch of aggressive fish like that

The Front should do well with an Oscar. I have an 8-10" Oscar with a 7" male Front, 6" JD, 2 large SD's, 4-5" Green Severum, rainbow shark, and suncat.

I keep them in my 150g with 2 magnum 220's, 2 emp 400 filters. The PH is 6.5-7.5 w/-0- ammonia.

They all get along great and the Front is actually somewhat aggressive and nips at the Oscar. But he is not big enough yet to intimidate the O. I feed them a variety of stuff once a day and so far so good. They have all been togethor for about 6 months so far.

it's not so much about whether they "could" be together, it's about if they "should". More than even the water parameters, I'd imagine the fronts prefer being in groups, not lone specimens mixed in with neotropicals.

I used to have a 8" Quetzal in a 180 with a large Texas, JD and Jag. He was the king of the tank and aggressive. I tried to add a Blackbelt in with him that was way bigger than him, and he beat the Blackbelt to death after I went away for the weekend (big mistake). The Quetzal was picking on him and chasing him before I left , but I thought he would make it through the weekend. The Blackbelt's entire body was chewed up and dead in the upper corner of the tank.
