quick 120g stocking question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
hmm... :/

2 eels is messy, on more than one level

yeah

2x 24"+ eels in a not-as-big-as-it-sounds tank

even though they are mellow eels i forsee problems

if he was willing to switch out one of the eels so like a medium sized lionfish or something like a squirrel fish i think it'd make for a lovely tank

ah yes, the wife insists a lionfish. i suppose a volitan will get too large, what other lions would work, and also aren't "super" sensitive?

also what kind of sand cleaning crew would be safe with these fish?

i don't think any scorpionfish are 'sensitive'

a russel's, spotfin, radiata (probably my favorite lion) or any dwarf lions like zebras, fuzzies, fumachu etc

i don't know if tusks eat snails or not, if they don't nassarius snails would work great
sand sifting stars, or SS crabs (liveaquaria has them)

and i know i've given them a bad rap before but horseshoe crabs aren't as bad as they sound, but you still have to worry about them getting big
