Just figured I'd share some pictures of what I was working on yesterday. It's a small system to drain the tanks and fill em by hooking up a garden hose. I haven't tested it yet tho still need to cement the bottom together waiting to do that since it has to be done in my room as the pipe has to run under the tanks.

if it uses the siphon method, shouldn't the pipe with the end cap be higher than the water level?

Endcaps are a mess up. I was thinking just like drain overflows but I realized i have to pump water back through and then it'd just gush water onto the floor. Its just going to siphon water out of the tanks and then pump water back in afterwards.

it would be less messy to stick the hose directly into the tank in my opinion. dealing with residual water left inside pipe when switching from syphon to fill mode is a pain.

and thats how I do it this is for my Fiance. I'm going into the airforce and wont be home for around 4months during training. This is so she can do water changes still. She can't bend over well due to back issues but she can turn some valves to drain water then hook the hose up to the sink to refill after their done draining.
