I know Clown Loaches eat snails but will they readily eat other invertebrates such as shrimp or crabs?
Thanks for the info!

I've had crabs catch and eat my loaches........don't know if any one else had this happen. I gave my crabs to a friend with a Pacu. They lived happily as long as the crab had access to the top of tank.

I keep reading that they will eat shrimp - but I have like 20 ghost shrimp in my tank with 11 loaches which range from 3 inches to 6 inches. They're not eating them. I don't know how much truth there is to that supposition.

Any invertebrate will end up in your loaches' menu. I'm afraid you cannot mix both at all. Even with the exception of dwarf crayfish and some crabs that are passive (which are definitely on their menu), any other species will attack your fish. No win situation here at all.

I would venture a guess your loaches have never tasted the shrimps yet.;) Start feeding them raw shrimps and they'll develop a taste for your other shrimps and end up gobbling them up.

Haha maybe. I'm not sure if I wanna try if you know what I mean ;)

Guess it depends on the fish/diet. I have shrimp in with my clown's in the 75g and they haven't touched them. Only have 5 clowns in that tank though that are about 2"
