what's up fellas? I just wanted to triple check with this ordeal.
I had a VERY large Oscar in my 75g by herself for years, unfortunately she passed away and I couldn't save her. (RIP Lucy) I believe it was either mycobacteria(fish tb) or columnarus. I just assumed it was mycobacteria so after she passed I emptied the tank and did a bleach sterilization. I was running two AC110's with only sponge and about a liter of seachem matrix in both of them each. I tossed the the sponges and media in the garbage, and sanitized them(filters) as well.
after through rinsing of the tank, empty filters and gravel, I filled up, primed the water and took the sponge and liter of matrix from one of my other 75g also running two ac110s(replaced with new) and put them in my Oscar tank for a quick cycle. I have a new Oscar in there and so far so good. I just wanted to get a little reassurance that im doing this right. I'll keep testing looking for only nitrates.
thanks for any feedback
