Hi, I just moved my 75 gallon and replaced the Substrate... The substrate is old but has not been used in a couple months. One of the filters(ac110) has not been cleaned in approx a month, although i cleaned the other one(Rena somthing...) I added prime to all the water when i refilled the tank.
My question is, is the tank going to completely recycle?
Thanks

So you removed the substrate and cleaned the Rena... both of these actions surely removed some portion of your bacteria...

Your AC 110 was not cleaned and bacteria likely remained/survived on many other surfaces such as decor, intake tubes, etc...

So it is likely that you will have soem level of ammonia/nitrite spikes... but they should be short lived as the remaining bacterial colony will reproduce to replace what you removed...

Prime will "detoxify" ammonia and nitrite for 24 hours, but needs to be added daily if this is the only method you use to address the ammonia/nitrite spike...

Anytime I do major overhauls on a tank I do a healthy water change 1~2 days afterwards...
