I build a PVC spray bar for my aquarium that I am quite happy with. It's attached to a Fluval 405 Cannister filter and simply clamped onto the hose coming from the filter. I'd like to put some kind of quick release/disconnect valve or coupler inline, so I could disconnect the hose without needing to unscrew the o clamp. Any recommendations I could use?

I need to take the 405 and it's plumbing out for a really good scrubbing and don't want to have to deal with a 2 foot spray bar. I'd rather leave that in the aquarium, if possible.

Use a threaded PVC union. Install a hose barb for the hose side and hard plumb it to the spray bar.
See the hose attached to the barb fitting and the threaded union which hooks to a spray bar in my overhead filter.
