i searched for it but didnt really find to much info pertaining to my question. i was wondering are green terrors from black water habitats?

Well this is my hypothesis red terrors are from Ecuador like green terrors red terror females are brightly colored to catch a males attention so I'm assuming yes they are black water

Green terrors are found near Ecqador and Peru. So I doubt it if they are black water habitat.
The Ph should not go more than 8 or less than 6 , if you do so....they lose their vibrant colors.
Tanins are acidic...so please think again.
