I posted a couple days ago about my 5" Texas cichlid and 10" tiger oscar fighting. They are in a 180 w/ a 10" florida gar.

I've decided that adding a fish (or two?) may be the best bet. I went into the LFS to see what sub-adult or adult fish he had available. The fish that he has that I think will fall into the correct size range for my other fish:

-several oscars (albino, red, tiger)
-jack dempsey
-green severum
-several various large catfish and plecos
-a few red devils

Anyway, I wanted to see what he had and then think about it. Was hoping to make a decision and then head back over there tonight. So I need some help/opinion. I'm inclined to add one of the albino oscars over another aggressive fish like a dempsey or red devil. May be pushing it, but I think I could house another oscar and possibly a JD without overpopulating my tank. Anyway, please advise....

Maybe add some dither fish, the jack dempsey and red devils may just add fuel to the fire

Texas can be real mean especially in "breeding mode", mine would always lip lock with my dempsey

jack and some dithers
