Yesterday I spotted ICK on a few of my fishes so today, I raised the temperature by 6 degrees. Everyone is eating and swimming fine except two of my Geophagus Red Heads. They are acting weird. They swim weird, it's not smooth like how they normally swim. They shake their bodies. Also, they scape their body against the rocks and sand a lot. But I don't see any ICK on them.

What could be causing this when I don't see any ICK on them? Is it because the water temperature is so high? Is that dangerous? I thought that raising the temperature would cure the ICK since I have such a big tank, a 180 gallon.

Please help me identiy what is wrong with my Geo Red Heads and how to cure the ICK on my other fish.

Thanks!

It's still the ich. Dose a tablespoon per 5g of table salt. Dissolve thoroughly first before adding to the tank. Add it gradually every 30 minutes by at least four tablespoons until you reach the recommended dosage. For a 180g, you need at least 36 tablespoons.

Maximum temperature recommended is 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Maximize your oxygen levels since high temperature depletes oxygen.

Yup, listen to Dr. Lupin :D.
