Quick Help Please

So I just bought shrimp to feed my fish and the ingredients are: shrimp, salt and sodium tripolyphosphate.

Is the sodium tripolyphosphate bad to feed to my fish?

I read that you can soak the shrimp and it will be fine but is that true?
