I was in a lfs recently and saw a group of silver dollars..a few stood out to me, they looked very similar but had black dots scattered across their midsections. I am just curious what these are as they look similar to some other fish but I really have no clue. Thank you

These are young Pacu, which show spotting on the body that eventually fades as they get older.

Pics would help yes. Do I have them, no. I was only asking because I saw a picture of a piranha for sale and it looked just like this.
In regards to the pacu, no it did not look like that. It had the typical silver dollar shape that is why it seemed odd to me. I wont be able to get there for a cpl days, but if no one knows then ill be back with some pics eventually.
