Not any of the Madagascans I've seen.
Looks a bit like a Lamprologine (or Lepidolamprologine)to me.
Yep,Tanganyikan and I was thinking L.elongatus.
 
Duanes yours is quite impressive and it looks pretty big...Durells fish appears to be much younger than yours which could account for the difference in color pattern.I could be wrong of course,it has been some years since I've kept any Africans.I do remember the elongatus being very aggressive though.
