Wrote a paper, someone reviewed it, and they made some changes. They used the "track changes" thingy, and it highlighted yellow where they changed it. They then emailed the paper back to me.

So, I have a finished paper, but it has some yellow highlighting. How do I get rid of it? I tried selecting the yellow parts, and clicking on the white highlighter, but it doesn't go away.

Any idea?

Tool's, track change.

Ctrl+shift+ E

I think.

That's how you track it, but how do you undo it?

  1. Open the document you want to revise.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Track Changes. When the Track Changes feature is enabled, TRK appears on the status bar (status bar: A horizontal bar at the bottom of the screen that displays information about the current condition of the program, such as the status of items in the window, the progress of the current task, or information about the selected item.) at the bottom of your document. When you turn off change tracking, TRK is dimmed.
  3. Make the changes you want by inserting, deleting, or moving text or graphics. You can also change formatting.

Thanks for the help man, but its not working...

That just enables me to track my changes. If I changed the document, and sent it to you, what I changed will be highlighted yellow. However, I need to know how you would go about un-highlighting it.

=\

Is there a icon that looks like a high lighter with a "ab" by it?

Nah.

I sent it to her, and she fixed it though.

Thank you sooo much for the help =)

I see you figured it out, but did you happen to do a print preview? I wonder if its like a spelling error with the colored underline, that doesn't show up when printed

No prob's. sorry i couldn't help more.

I did do a print preview....It comes up yellow even in that.

And also, the problem with it was that the person edited it in google documents.
